Ana Kristina Gasteyer is an American actor, comedian and singer. The most well-known of her roles was as a part of NBC's sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live. In the years since, she's been featured in sitcoms like ABC's Suburgatory TBS's People of Earth NBC's American Auto and in the film Mean Girls. She began her career as an Northwestern University voice student, then switched to theater studies once she got involved with the group of improv students on campus. She carried that same spirit throughout her other roles, such in the roles of Sheila Shay, the overly-controlling character in Suburgatory and Karen Grisham the eccentric agent on Lady Dynamite.
